Community Creates’ LGBTQ+ Art Day, delivered in collaboration with forum+, is an opportunity for anyone living in Camden or Islington to come together, learn a new skill and celebrate LGBTQ+ identity and culture. Art which is created during the day will have the opportunity to be displayed as part of the LGBTQ+ History Month Exhibition at the Belsize Community Library. You do not have to be LGBTQ+ to take part in the LGBTQ+ Art Day.
forum+ is an independent charity working to promote equality for LGBTQ+ people in Camden and Islington, by hosting social groups and events which celebrate LGBTQ+ life in the boroughs and working to reduce social isolation and loneliness. forum+ organises the annual Camden & Islington LGBT History Month programme which celebrates and showcases local LGBTQ+ history and heritage.
Throughout LGBTQ+ Art Day, there are lots of different free art workshops for you to join! Workshops are free but we do ask you to book tickets in advance, and please do cancel your ticket if you are no longer able to make the event.
Click the titles of each workshop in bold below to be taken to the ticket booking link. Feel free to sign up to more than one workshop - we’ll also be having a free shared lunch!
